Frequently Asked Questions

Does this pump require electricity?
No. This is a fully manual well pump and operates without electricity, batteries, or solar power. It is ideal for power outages, emergency backup, and off-grid use.

How deep can this pump lift water?
The pump is designed to lift water from static water levels up to 150 feet. This pump only needs to be installed about 20 feet below your static water level.
For example, if your static water level is 130 feet, this pump will work when installed at 150 feet regardless of your well total depth. 

Will this work if my well is deeper than 150 feet?
Yes, as long as your static water level is no deeper than 130 feet. This allows 20 feet of water table changes. The total depth of your well does not matter.

What is static water level?
Static water level is the distance from the top of your well casing to the top of the water when the well is at rest.

Will this pump work in freezing temperatures?
Yes. This pump is 100% frost-free when installed according to the instructions.

What size well casing is required?
The pump is designed for 4" well casings and larger. It may fit some 3" wells. The maximum pump diameter is 1-5/8".

Does the kit include PVC pipe?
No. PVC pipe is not included due to shipping cost and availability. PVC Pipe is inexpensive and can be purchased at your local hardware or big box stores. 

What pipe sizes are required?
1" PVC for the outer pipe (Schedule 40 or SDR-21).
1/2" PVC for the inner pipe (Schedule 40 recommended).

Are kits sold by well depth?
Yes. Kits are sold in 10-foot increments.

Is this difficult to install?
Installation is DIY-friendly and requires basic tools. Step-by-step instructions with photos are included. Installation support available. 

Do I need to modify my well cap?
Yes. You will drill a 1-3/8" hole or use a modified well cap.  If you prefer, I can make a custom well cap to accept this pump. This option is available on my website. please allow up to 7 business days for fabrication before your order ships. This cap is made to order.

Is this pump made in the USA?
Yes. This pump is manufactured in the United States.
