How to Install
This manual well pump is designed for DIY installation using basic tools. Most customers complete installation in an afternoon. Clear, step-by-step instructions with photos are provided in the full installation manual, and personal installation support is available if needed.
Simple Installation Overview
- Measure your static water level in the well (instructions for measuring static water level are found under Product Details – Bradley Well Pumps )
- Purchase standard PVC pipe locally (1" and 1/2")
- Remove the existing well cap or well seal
- Assemble pump sections above ground
- Lower the pump into the well in sections and modify or reinstall the well cap (custom well caps are available under Well Hand Pump Kits and Accessories – Bradley Well Pumps )
- Test the pump and confirm water flow

No electricity, plumbing license, or specialized tools are required. Two people are recommended for easier installation.
Important Safety Notes
- Always secure tools and parts with rope during installation
- Never allow loose components to drop into the well
- A tie-off point inside the well casing is strongly recommended
Frost-Free Design
This pump is frost-free when installed correctly. A small weep hole allows water to drain after each use, preventing freeze damage in cold climates.
